2006-2007 CHALLENGE

Quilt Challenge 2006-2007

“Schoolhouse Rock”

All of us attended not one, but several schools. Some of us taught in those schools. We have memories of those years and no matter what, those years influenced our lives forever. Create a quilt taking the title literally or not. Think about all your experiences, the people you knew, the things you learned (or tried to). Be sure to follow the rules below and most importantly, have fun.

Ÿ         The quilt must in some way reflect the title “Schoolhouse Rock”.

Ÿ         The quilt must include three (3) layers and be quilted. It may be pieced, appliquéd, or be a combination of the two.

Ÿ         The quilt must include at least one embellishment (charm, bead, foil, paint, embroidery, etc.)

Ÿ         The size of the finished quilt must have a perimeter of between 72” and 144”.

Be sure to attach a label on the back of your quilt on the lower, right hand corner and to cover that label with a piece of muslin or other material so that the judging can be anonymous. All quilts entered will be displayed, but only those following the above guidelines will be eligible for prizes.
