There is so much going on!! Take a moment to read about the following activities at the meeting. You may be inspired to participate more fully in the Guild …

 

Block of the Month -Individual blocks which members choose to make. Each participant makes the month's block and then brings it to the meeting where it is rattled. Winner takes all the blocks.

 

Challenge - The participants challenge each other to make a Quilt of the same pattern, fabric or interpretation or a theme. These items are judged and displayed at the June meeting.

 

Quilt Raffle - The Guild members work together to produce a Quilt to be raffled tor the benefit of the Guild and a selected local charity.

 

Comfort Quilts - The members do some project for the benefit of the community.  It is much like Project Linus.

 

Library - The Guild has books, tapes & videos which it makes available to the members for 2 months at a time. There is a $2 fee, refundable it the book is returned to the library on time.

 

Door Raffle - At each meeting, several items of interest are raffled. The cost is 3 tickets for $1 and the proceeds benefit the Guild.   

 

Answer Person - Members who have great experience in some type of quilting are available to members to answer your questions.  It is best to bring the problem.

 

Vendors - sometimes vendors will set up a booth at our meeting and part of the proceeds go the Guild treasury.

 

Fat Quarter Lotto - Members who choose to bring 2 fat quarters (of the fabric announced in the Newsletter) to the meeting where one set is raffled. The second set is held until the June meeting where the year's collection is raffled. Winner takes all!

 

Show & Tell- Show off your finished items at the meeting.
