She Quilted A Memory
by
Roberta Fitzgerald
With a few scraps,
and love and dignity,
She will live on.
She left a heritage,
She quilted a memory.
Her life was hard,
Wealth for her was not to be.
But in bits and pieces,
She left a heritage
She quilted a memory.
Mourn not for her
She left behind her love for all to see
With needle and thread
She left a heritage
She quilted a memory.
Lord we pray,
You'll judge her gently,
She will live on,
She left a heritage,
She quilted a memory.
